Student Programs
Memorial Health System supports the healthcare workforce of tomorrow with several programs designed for area students.
- Community Healthcare Career Academy: This multi-week experience gives 10th-grade students a preview of several career opportunities in the nursing profession.
- Explorer Post: Memorial Explorer Post 1897 offers area high-school students the opportunity to discover a wide variety of healthcare careers. The post meets monthly and is open to boys and girls ages 14-20.
- T.E.N. Camp: Teens Experiencing Nursing is a week-long camp for high school students. The camp is held in the summer, so the youngest students have completed their freshman year, and the oldest have just graduated high school.
- Scrubs: This program gives eighth-grade students an introduction to healthcare careers.
- Career Exploration: Students who join us for a Career Exploration day are paired with a healthcare professional to observe the profession, their work environment, and their day-to-day responsibilities.
